Rekha Roarty

Rekha Roarty Managing Partner

Rekha Roarty is a strong advocate for her clients and a board-certified construction lawyer. Rekha focuses her practice on construction and real estate litigation, working with both residential and commercial properties. Rekha ensures that her clients feel protected by staying in constant communication with them and understanding all the details of their case. While many cases settle before trial or arbitration, Rekha always ensures she is fully prepared to litigate or arbitrate a matter to resolution if a more favorable resolution cannot be reached.

A proud “Double Bear,” Rekha graduated from Baylor University in 2010 and Baylor University School of Law in 2014. After spending nearly seven years in Waco, Texas, Rekha returned to Austin, Texas, where she grew up and is a true Austin Native. Since, then Rekha has primarily practiced in the Austin area.

Rekha handles all levels of a dispute, from the time initial demand letters are sent, to the filing of a lawsuit, all the way through final trial or arbitration. While most disputes settle through mediation or other settlement agreements prior to a final trial, Rekha is prepared to take cases all the way to trial when necessary.

Rekha is honored to have been selected by her peers for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2022 to 2023 and in Best Lawyers Ones To Watch for her work in Construction Law, Litigation – Construction, and Real Estate Law for 2022 to 2023. She was named a Top Attorney in Construction Law by Austin Monthly from 2020 to 2022. In addition, she was named to the Austin Business Journal’s People on the Move and the Texas Bar Journal’s Movers and Shakers in 2022, among other recognitions.

Of what it’s like to work with her, a client says, “I hired Ms. Roarty after being referred to her by another Austin attorney. I was impressed by her responsiveness and the thoughtful work put into my case. Her clear and concise explanations showed me that she had a thorough understanding of my rights as a homeowner in my case against a terrible general contractor whose work nearly destroyed my house. We ended up coming to a favorable settlement at mediation which I was pleased with. I would recommend Ms. Roarty.”

Other clients and peers say, “Not only is she knowledgeable, diligent and professional but she makes herself available to her clients and responds promptly” and “I hired Rekha about a real estate matter, she was concise and very prompt with her responses about my issues, absolutely fantastic work!”

Rekha is a member of the Texas Bar College, Austin Young Lawyers Association, Travis County Women Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas. She is a member of the Construction Law and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Texas, the Construction Law Section of the Austin Bar Association, and a Pro Bono Pledge Signatory for Pro Bono Texas. Rekha is also a Steering Committee Member for the Austin Baylor Law Network.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons, volunteering with The Junior League of Austin, watching NBA and college basketball, and traveling.
